A Break

In Digital Photography we are currently doing our photo books so i didn't get to shoot anything this week but next week we are shooting panorama and i am really exited for that and will definitely keep you updated. Finally going to actually get to use a tripod instead of just checking it out and end up not using it. Anyway, going to take a break this week from posting photographs and share one of my other passions. Music. I've been in a metal band for about two years and we recently recorded one of our songs that is to be on our upcoming E.P. and i just thought ide share. Play at your own risk.

          

Telling a story 2

After having told a story already, we were asked to do another one for our final project. At this point I am low in creativity dure to all of the assignments going on in all my other classes but somehow managed with this concept of building a boat and releasing it. I set up my tripod in my room, some artificial lighting (due it to it being pretty late), and used low shutter speed to capture some movement and kind of "ghost" some of the elements in the photographs. Effects turned out pretty cool, gotta try something different every once in a while. Don't forget to comment and +N!

Telling a Story 2: The ZOO!

This week we had to do research for telling a story and I thought I would go to the zoo and get some shots. I ended up staying all day and got some good ones. I added some extra ones of this hilarious giraffe at the end. Hope you guys like. Don't forget to comment and +N.

This week in Digital Photography we worked with color as our most prevalent element. We had to take photographs that would automatically communicate to the audience that the shot was about color. I tend to shoot landscapes, that is what interest me when I go outside, a really wide shot, with every component working together to create a beautiful view. But for this assignment I had to let go of that and focus solely on elements with color, obliterating everything else from the shot. It was extremely difficult to make it blatantly obvious that it was about color, however I think some of these worked, like the very first one, second one, and the last one. Found Objects

This week in Digital Photography we went outside and observed at our campus, in a different way. We had to "breathe through our eye lids" and shoot really close to our objects. This made me view my surroundings in a very unusual way, appreciating the little things, patterns, and objects. I found it to be a very interesting assignment.

Telling a Story

Last week’s photo assignment was to tell a story. With 5 photographs we had to cover an event. I found this sort of challenging because to do so you must really have to capture key photos to describe each individual moment as it was. Also you must make the audience feel like the shots are destined and in sequence and cover a lot of ground sort of speak. I ended up shooting like 200, and in a very lengthy process narrowing it down to 5. These are some of the miss shots that made me laugh but that I didn’t add to the final.
